Grafenwoehr Family & MWR news release
GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — USAG Bavaria and 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command will host the 4th Annual Grafenwoehr Rugged Terrain Obstacle Run April 9.
Service members, civilians and family members in Europe are challenged to participate in a hardcore cross-country obstacle run – a test of strength and camaraderie.
Run, climb and jump 20+ hard-core obstacles spaced out over a grueling, 16-kilometer course along the Grafenwoehr Training Area’s Rough Terrain Trail.
The trail is a training resource designed to test small-units’ ability to operate in a rugged and physically demanding environment. Obstacles include Rolling Balance Beam, Gabion Climb and Rock Climbs, muscle-aching Tire Flips and Sled Pulls, an oxygen-sucking Stair Climb and a filthy Mud Crawl.
Other minor obstacles on the course include a 15 percent incline and decline rugged terrain trail, Fireman Carry, Log cut and carry, and a few more surprises.
Complete the run to earn a commemorative T-shirt.
The registration fee is $25 per participant. U.S. ID card holders and NATO Forces ID card holders over 18 years of age are eligible to participate as either individuals or teams.
You must pre-register to participate. There is no registration on the day of the run.
