GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — The Grafenwoehr Field Office is offering monthly training at Rose and Tower Barracks geared toward U.S. service members, DOD civilians and local national employees.
The GFO recently released its 2016 training schedule and now invites members of the garrison and military to participate.
The Grafenwoehr Field Office is staffed with personnel assigned to the 2nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 66th Military Intelligence Brigade.
The GFO offers monthly Threat Awareness and Reporting Program briefings for U.S. service members that fulfills annual training requirements.
The GFO also offers a counterintelligence recruiting briefing for service members interested in re-classing to Military Occupational Specialty 35L.
Additionally, the GFO offers a counterintelligence/force protection briefing open to all U.S. DOD civilian employees and family members to raise awareness on what needs to be reported to CI and law enforcement.
The GFO conducts continuous counterintelligence collection, investigations and operations in support of USAG Bavaria to develop early warning of terrorist activities and deny adversary intelligence of sensitive and critical U.S. forces order of battle, technologies, vulnerabilities, capabilities and intentions.

|*2 All DA personnel will undergo threat awareness training at least annually IAW AR 381-12. Personnel who handle
classified information; work in intelligence disciplines; routinely have official contact with foreign representatives; or have foreign connections or associations may be more vulnerable to approach by a foreign intelligence services or influence from an international terrorist organizations, and may require more frequent briefings on an individual basis.
|*3 Game of Pawns, The Glenn Duffie Shriver Story, is based on a true story and is an educational case study produced by the CI division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation on the dangers Americans face abroad from foreign intelligence services. Following the educational presentation, GFO CI Agents will provide an Army CI Recruiting briefing and answer questions on the application and selection process for any potential CI applicants.|
|*4 GFO will provide a monthly CI Awareness/CI FP Briefing for civilian family members to increase community
awareness. It is highly encouraged unit Family Readiness Groups work with GFO CI Agents to obtain maximum outreach in CI Awareness in the local civilian community. Civilian personnel often observe suspicious and reportable encounters but are often unaware of CI reporting criteria and procedures. This briefing is designed to bridge that awareness gap.
|*5 On a rotational basis the 1600-1700 time slot will be filled with either a Cyber CI Awareness brief, an Anti-Terrorism- FP brief, or an additional TARP for US Service Members. Contact GFO in advance to determine what briefing will be provided on that day.
