Don’t stop reading just because you saw “spouses” in the title!
Hopefully you also caught the “Bavarian Community” part. We are a private organization open to all DoD ID card holders — meaning active duty military, civilians, retirees, and spouses can join our club.
As times have changed, resources have dwindled, and communities have consolidated, the old days of Officer & Enlisted Spouses Clubs have gone to the wayside and a Community Club open to all ranks, services, and spouses has emerged for the Tower Barracks and Rose Barracks communities, otherwise known as the Bavaria Community & Spouses’ Club (BCSC).
So what does the BCSC do? In 2015, we awarded over $125,000 through grants to private organizations, such as FRGs, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and scholarships to youth and adults in our community who are continuing their education.
We raise these funds via income generated from the Grafenwoehr and Vilseck Thrift Shops, as well as through revenue generated from the annual Crown Jewel Bazaar.
Please join FMWR and BCSC for our 2016 Crown Jewel Bazaar at the Rose Barracks, Vilseck- Building 134:
In addition to supporting the community, we are a social group that likes to have fun! We host monthly themed luncheons, such as Oktoberfest, Holiday Auction and Sweetheart Bingo.
We also offer a variety of trips, including Polish Pottery Shopping, Disney Paris, French & Italian Rivieras, and the Dresden Christmas Market.
There are monthly events, like Bunco and a Halloween Party, and even sub-clubs, like “Foodies & Friends”, “BCSC On The Go”, and the “Guten Appetite” club.
So now that you see the value and opportunities associated with becoming a member of the BCSC, how do you sign up?
