InDependent news release

FORT EUSTIS, Virginia – InDependent and Corie Weathers launch registration for the second annual online Military Spouse Wellness Summit: Happily Ever After sponsored by Armed Forces Insurance.

The online summit takes place during the week of October 17-21. On Sat, Oct. 22, the grand-prize winner of a romantic oceanfront getaway for two, courtesy of Military Benefit Association, will be announced. Summit participants will receive 10 interviews from subject matter experts on individual and relationship wellness. The event objective is to inspire spouses to achieve health and wellness independently in mind, body and emotion and thereby impact their marriages. Military spouses can register at summit.

“After working as a mental health counselor serving military marriages for more than eight years, I can say that our military couples need resources more than ever before,” said Corie Weathers, host of MSWS16. “Worldwide tension is not easing up, and spouses continue to hold down the home-front with love for their family and a level of grit that is beyond impressive. For military marriages to stay healthy in the midst of constant change and stress, it is crucial that spouses invest in their wellbeing and have access to the best resources available.”

Day themes and sponsors for the summit include:

  • Day 5: In the Presence of Family and Friends, I Do– Sponsored by Dove

Registrants can participate for free or invest $27 for a VIP ticket. VIP registrants will receive a FREE one-year membership to Thrive Market ($59.95 value), be entered to win the grand prize giveaway and qualify to win additional prizes courtesy of R. Riveter, Gaia, QALO and more.

The 2016 Military Spouse Wellness Summit is a fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit InDependent and five select military-affiliated nonprofit organizations.
