GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — Protestant Women of the Chapel hosted “A Night of Refreshing,” an event featuring author and speaker Dr. Brenda Pace, here at the Tower Barracks community chapel Oct. 19.

Women from Rose Barracks and Hohenfels attended the event. They enjoyed a meal together and music by the Tower Barracks PWOC worship team before Dr. Pace’s presentation on journeying through the different phases of life as a military family.

A military spouse for more than 28 years before her husband’s retirement, Dr. Pace is intimately familiar with this topic. She addressed the different choices military spouses must make to keep a positive outlook amidst the numerous challenges of military life. She also made her four-book set, “Journey of a Military Wife,” available free of charge to the evening’s participants through the generosity of the American Bible Society.

PWOC seeks to support and encourage women in their spiritual journey from a Christian perspective. Events are open to the entire USAG Bavaria footprint, including Ansbach.

The organization meets on Thursdays from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Tower Barracks Chapel Annex and hosts an evening study also at the Annex on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. The Rose Barracks PWOC meets Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. at the Rose Barracks Chapel, and the Hohenfels PWOC meets Tuesdays from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Hilltop building.
