GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — The annual workplace giving campaign within the U.S. military and federal government begins Oct. 16.

The Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas, or CFC-O, provides uniformed and civilian DOD personnel serving overseas the opportunity to extend their service by supporting charitable causes of their choice.

U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria kicks off the event Oct. 16 at the Tower View Conference Center, Bldg. 120, on Tower Barracks beginning at 2:30 p.m. CFC-O reps are encouraged to attend to receive campaign materials.

Last year, the communities comprising U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria raised nearly $130,548. This year, garrison CFC-O organizers aim to raise over $159,000.

CFC-O allows you to make contributions to a list of hundreds of charities easily searchable online.

The CFC-O offers two new features this year, allowing people to contribute their time as a volunteer at a designated charity such as USO or Red Cross. Additionally, retirees can now contribute.

Contributors may make their pledge in one of four ways:

  • Electronic payroll allotments through DFAS myPay

  • eGiving payments using a credit card, debit card or electronic bank transfer. Visit The online platform opens Oct. 2, 2017.

  • Traditional paper Pledge Cards.
