UPDATE (9 a.m., July 11): Due to inclement weather in the July 12 forecast, the event will now take place at the Grafenwoehr Stadthalle on Kolpingstrasse near Tortuga’s Mexican Restaurant. The venue fits 700 people, but parking is limited.
GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — The U.S. Army Europe Soldiers’ Chorus will be performing July 12 at the city’s outdoor amphitheater as part of their “Concert on the Lawn” series.
The city of Grafenwoehr, 7th Army Training Command, and U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria hosts the event on behalf of USAREUR Commander, Lt. Gen. Chris Cavoli.
The Chorus will perform a high energy show from 7–9 p.m. at the off-post location known as the Naturbuehne Schoenberg — about a 15-minute walk from Tower Barracks Gate 1.
The USAREUR Band & Chorus is playing concerts this summer at Army installations across Europe as part of their “Concert on the Lawn” series.
The amphitheater holds up to 500 people. Admission to the event is free. Food and drink vendors will be available on site.
Parking is limited near the amphitheater, which is located along Hinterm Calvarienberg by Edeka and Aldi grocery stores.
In the event of inclement weather, the Chorus will play at the Grafenwoehr Stadthalle on Kolpingstrasse near Tortuga’s Mexican Restaurant. Details on whether the event is moved to the alternate location will be released on the garrison’s Facebook page at facebook.com/USAGBavaria.
