USAG Bavaria Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation release

GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — The Tower Barracks Child Development Center at U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria will temporarily close for renovations and expansion beginning Nov. 1, 2019.

On Monday, Nov. 4, the Tower Barracks CDC hourly care program will temporarily transfer to Netzaberg CDC. The caregiving and management teams will also temporarily transfer to Netzaberg CDC.

Officials expect the renovations and expansion to be complete by summer 2021.

Hourly care reservations will be available via WebTrac, as well as phone at Netzaberg CDC and Rose Barracks CDC.

The goal is to make this a smooth transition and to continue supporting the CDC patrons and community during the entire expansion process. CYS officials anticipate the difference in amount of care provided to the community will be negligible.

Questions or concerns can be brought to the management team at Tower Barracks CDC. Contact Matthew Rody at DSN 526-9078, CIV 09641-70-526-9078 or via email at
