AAFES News Release
GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — The focus on Thanksgiving Day will be on family and the Grafenwoehr Exchange will be closed, but a feast of Black Friday deals will start at 8 a.m. on Nov. 29 at the retail stores on Tower Barracks, Rose Barracks, Hohenfels and Garmisch.
“As part of the military community, the Exchange understands that time with family, for both customers and associates, is a priority,” said Chris Litch, Exchange marketing manager. “Being closed on Thanksgiving allows shoppers to give thanks with friends and family and still partake in the savings online that day, or bright and early in person on Black Friday.”
Service members who are on the installation on Thanksgiving Day will still have access to convenience items as the Main Expresses and gas stations will be open.
Opening hours for Black Friday weekend are the following:
Early opening hours for Black Friday and Saturday at Tower Barracks Starbucks, Brunner Bakery and Bun-D are Friday at 6 a.m. and Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
With 85 percent of its workforce connected to the military, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service is a true example of family serving family.
