GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany — On July 13, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria leadership, located on Artillery Kaserne, invited Garmisch-Partenkirchen organization leaders for a meeting. The event took place in the Edelweiss Lodge & Resort Hotel at Sheridan Kaserne.


Participants included County Commissioner Anton Speer, executives of the local district administration office, and representatives from the German armed forces, the George C. Marshall Center, the NATO School and the garrison.

Col. Christopher Danbeck, commander of USAG Bavaria, welcomed the group saying, “We are pleased that we can invite you to a meeting again after a long break and hope to be able to meet again on a regular basis.”


Laura Hemming, garrison manager of Garmisch, provided briefings about innovations and ongoing projects within the Garmisch footprint and the related financial investments in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen community. Participants also had the opportunity to provide information about their own organization.


Following the briefing, the group partook in a tour of the hotel. And a lunch buffet with American delicacies concluded the event.
