HOHENFELS, Germany — At a Length of Service award ceremony on Oct. 21, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria leadership recognized 112 civilians employed by the Hohenfels installation. Together, they logged a total of 3,040 years of outstanding service with the U.S. Army.

German and American civilian awardees gathered with friends, colleagues and peers at the Hohenfels Community Activity Center to receive formal acknowledgement from the garrison commander. Individually, these employees served anywhere from 10 to 40 years each.

“What you do is critically important to our training requirements, and I would like to take a moment to express my most sincere gratitude to the awardees,” Danbeck said. “Our military community benefits from your knowledge, experience and your insight. Without your daily support, we would not be as effective. Thank you!”

Additionally, several distinguished guests attended the ceremony to congratulate the employees for their dedicated service. These guests included Mayor Christian Graf of Hohenfels, Mayor Christian Schmid of Velburg, Second Mayor Martin Bauer and Third Mathias Huger of Schmidmuehlen.
